It was all poses, pouts and personalised lipsticks for the launch of The Lip Lab Perth last week – and WOW did the guests create some hot as GIFs! 

Attended by fashionistas, make up artists, bloggers, models and lipstick enthusiasts The Lip Lab Perth launch was a huge success. Guests got to create their own unique lipstick, choosing their own colour, flavour, smell and fancy additions like glitter and sunscreen.

To capture the interactive fun and creativity of this “create your own lipstick” concept the Lip Lab needed something that would entertain guests and get them sharing their new lipstick all over social media with the hashtag #puckerupperth. So we gave them the GIF Booth!

The result was pretty much the most fun and creative photos we’ve seen all year, turned into AWESOME gifs that were shared all over Facebook and Instagram. Scroll down for our favourites!

The GIF Booth was a huge hit with guests, especially the beauty light encircling the screen. Perfect lighting made for the perfect photos – guests were even standing near the booth to use the lighting to take their own selfies!

Once guests snapped their four photos on the GIF Booth, they could then add filters, change the speed or choose to produce still photos rather than the moving GIF. After that they were able to share straight to Facebook or Twitter from the Booth, or email themselves the GIF, including an MP4 version perfect for sharing on Instagram.

Event organiser Gabby Mannella of Halo Communications said she was thrilled with the reaction to the GIF Booth.

Honestly it could not have gone better, everyone absolutely loved the booth – some even remarked they wanted to take it home with them! It was a really great way to get people having fun at the event while they were waiting to create their lipsticks.

“Once they’d created their own personalised lipstick, the GIF Booth was a really great way to get them posing and having some fun with it, and there were stacks of shares on Instagram and Facebook with our hashtag #puckerupperth.” 

If you’re keen to play around, the GIF Booth will be in store at The Lip Lab Perth all this month to celebrate the store opening, with a promotion for #liptember where $1 from all lipsticks or lip glosses made will go towards Lifeline and the The Centre for Women’s Mental Health.
