Western Power Telethon Kids Carnival

Congratulations Telethon 2015 and Western Australia on raising over $25.8 million for Princess Margaret Hospital and the Telethon Kids Institute!

An incredible charity initiative the first Telethon was broadcast on November 29 1968, and has since raised over $204 million in financial assistance to charitable organisations, children’s hospitals and research facilities in WA.

This year Western Power “powered” the Telethon Kids Carnival over the weekend – three awesome pavilions filled with carnival rides, face painting, live stage shows, a sports clinic, and of course, a Photosnap Photobooth.

Photosnap were stoked to have our photobooth amongst the action, with hundreds of photos snapped over the weekend then printed out as take home souvenirs branded with the customised Kids Carnival overlay.

In addition to the prints, photosnap also set up a social media kiosk for photo sharing, so visitors could snap photos in the booth, then share them straight to their Facebook page!

Julie from Western Power said using the booth was ‘an excellent experience’.
“People lined up to take photos and were thrilled to be able to take them home with them.” she said. “We used both the Premium Open and Social Media booths for a community event over two days so it was in use for six consecutive hours on each day – it was 100% user friendly and reliable.”

Throughout the weekend it was awesome to see photos popping up all over Facebook and the #telethon7 hashtag trending in WA, helping to spread the word for a great cause!
“It was my first time using Photosnap Photobooths for an event and any reservations about ease of use or performance quickly vanished. We received professional and courteous service from Jason & would highly recommend his product.”

The volunteers from Western Power and Telethon did a fantastic job over the weekend with the entire event, as you can see from this great video they created. So many smiles on so many little faces!
